You are a fifteen minute walk to the beach, or minutes by car, the marina and shops and restaurants, tennis and golf. Sports fishing is a major attraction in Puerto Aventuras as are the dolphins. You can snorkel and scuba dive. It;s an all inclusive resort. But we are only a 15 minute drive to Playa del Carmen or Akumal and a bit further to Tulum and the ruins

The other day I was speaking with a Canadian woman who had just moved to the Riviera and she was explaining her glee at walking thru Sam’s Wholesale Club, she said she was practically skipping down the aisles finding all the products that she uses back home. It reminded me how important the places are that provide the comforts of home and how the transition from moving from one country to another can be difficult.
The town of Puerto Aventuras is not only an amazing place to live, as we have mentioned, but we have a variety of places around us that are easily accessible for purchasing products from around the world. Five minutes on the Highway we have a large super market called Chedraui that has a section designed specifically with all types of wonderful products aimed at foreigners and the Mexican gourmet. 15 minutes north on the edge of Playa Del Carmen we not only have Sam’s Club, we have City Club and in the town of Playa Del Carmen there are two Sam’s Clubs and a Home Depot.
Many years ago you had to drive to Cancun for coffee, now we even have a Starbucks in our little village. For some of us this is bitter sweet, but there are days when waking up someplace and being able to find something we can buy, cook and that reminds us of family traditions is comforting, especially during the holidays. The transition to beautiful Mexico is pretty easy. Now, you can have the best of the Caribbean with the feelings of home.

What can the Foreigner Beneficiary expect from the Trust Agreement?
– The beneficiary can occupy the property for the life of the trust.
– Title to the property can be transferred to the foreign beneficiary in the event that he acquires legal capacity to hold such property, or to any legally qualified person he/she may designate.
– The trust can also be heired to your family by naming them as substitute beneficiaries in the event of your death. The property can also be sold to a person legally authorized to own land or to a foreigner via a trust.
– The property may be rented.
– Beneficiaries are allowed to modify their property. Construction, in accordance to local zoning regulations, is permitted at the owner’s expense
