Festival of Life and Death Traditions 2015
As every year, Xcaret displays a wonderful show of mexican traditions of the Day of the Dead from every corner of the country. Each year, the Festival of Live and Death Traditions receive an honor guest and this time will be Colombia!
Plus, 50 mayan communities will be sharing their knowledge and culture. Hanal Pixan, or Food of the Souls, is the celebration among the mayan, which is a syncretism of catholic rituals and mayan traditions.
2015 marks the 10th anniversary of this colorful festival that attracts thousands of people from all around the world. It includes music, gastronomy, theatre, and a visit of a cemetery decorated specially for this time of the year. All the park is full of candles and a sea of cempasuchitl (marygold) which is the traditional flower. You’ll have an unforgettable time!
